Call for Abstracts: Metal Forming Symposium, within ESMC 2012 Conference (Graz, Austria, 9 - 13 July, 2012)

Dear Colleague,

Under the auspices of the European Mechanics Society (EUROMECH), the European Solid Mechanics Conference 2012 (ESMC 2012) (http://www.esmc2012.tugraz.at/) will be held in Graz, Austria, during 9 - 13 July, 2012. Following a set of successful conferences started back on 1991, the next ESMC International Conference aims to provide a privileged forum for scientific discussions and exchange of ideas on the current state-of-the-art in the mechanics of solids, on new concepts and ideas and, particularly to identify important new directions for the research of the future. Attached to this email we included the flyer of the event.

Within the ESMC 2012 conference, we are proud to organize a mini-symposium totally dedicated to the challenging field of Metal Forming.

Being the only symposium of the conference devoted to this strategic research field, we hope to receive high-level contributions from all over the world with innovative and state-of-the-art papers in the following topics (but not limited to):

Constitutive Modeling

  • Material modeling
  • Anisotropic models and computational implementation
  • Damage / Fracture models
  • Formability
  • Friction, Lubrication and Contact
  • Thermo-mechanically coupled problems

We would like, therefore, to cordially invite you to submit a contribution to the Metal Forming mini-symposium under ESMC 2012 International Conference. The deadline for abstracts submission is November 30, 2011, but due to the appealing and exclusive character of the mini-symposium, we strongly encourage you to start this process as soon as possible.

To this end, please access the website:
