Graduate research assistantship only for Malaysian citizenship

The Micromechanics Lab at the School of Engineering in Monash University Sunway Campus (Malaysia) is
seeking candidates to fill a research assistantship post who are
interested to continue the project as a Master or PhD project. The research
assistant will work on a project that requires carrying out experiments and computer
simulation using state-of-the-art equipments, namely the Bruker SAXS/WAXS
machine (available at MIMOS Sdn Bhd), micro-tensile test rig and multi-physics
Finite Element software to investigate basic properties that are responsible
for ensuring the mechanical and electrical reliability of the sub-micron
wire-bond in semiconductor devices such as RAM. The work will be conducted in
collaboration with other research institutes and industries.

We invite applicants (Malaysian citizenship) with first degrees in Physics,
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering,
complementing a keen and inquisitive mind plus willingness to explore and push
the frontiers of science in micro-engineering to apply for this post. Funding
for this post is available for 18-24 months with extension for applicants who are interested to continue for PhD.
