I am looking for a possible opening for a postdoctor concerning the synthesis and utilizations of nanomaterials and metal oxides nanocomposites or any other else in the energy-related materials. I am a PhD candidate now in Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and I will graduate in June 2012.
During my PhD, my work mainly focuses on the synthesis of nanomaterials and carbon materials and evaluate their electrochemical energy storage performances and explore other useful energy storage devices and tecnologies.
I have the skills on:
• Lithium ion batteries. More than 4-years experience on R&D in lithium ion batteries, especially in nanomaterials
• Supercapacitors. Nano-sized metallic compounds or carbon materials with unique structure and application in supercapacitors
• Preparation of hollow or porous carbon materials and applications in energy storage, e.g. lithium ion batteries, supercapacitors
• Preparation of conductive polymers with different morphologies, such as polypyrrole, polyaniline and polythiophene in the shape of spheres and nanobelts
• Design synthetic routes to fabricate Nitrogen, Sulfur-doped porous carbon materials from conductive polymers and investigate them as the energy storage materials for lithium ion batteries
• Synthesis and characterization of hollow spherical transition metal oxides containing nano-sized particles by hard or soft template method, and applications in lithium ion batteries
• Pre-research in preparation and characterization of carbon related materials, conductive polymers with different shape and heteroatoms doping, nanocomposites, and graphene and silicon-based materials for lithium or energy storage
• Preparation and Rietveld refinement of cathode materials for lithium ion batteries, e.g., LiMPO4, and pre-research in Li-rich layer LiMO2.
• Have a passion in some other research areas of energy devices, including Sodium ion batteries, Lithium/Air cells, photo-electrochemical solar cells and so on
