James Wang

I am Yong Wang, currently a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Maryland. I got my Bachelor degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and Master degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I am enrolled in Dr. Teng Li's class on flexible macroelectronics in this semester.

We are in the age of information technology and surrounded by more and more electronic products. However, conventional rigid electronic products can not satisfy our higher and higher requirement for convenience and comfortablity. As a solution, flexible electronics technology will launch a revolution in the electronics industry and the corresponding products will dominate the electronics market in the future. I am eager to get some knowledge of such an important and promising technology that is influencing our daily life.

My current research topic is the characterization of curing-dependent properties of polymeric materials using FBG sensors.
