I have a question on the periodic boundary condition. I have written a code that solves coupled elastohydrodynamic lubrication equations for pressure and displacements. Within the code, I am using periodic boundary condition. The geometry is periodic as I am modeling half geometry ">" and then reflecting it "><" and then I am applying periodic boundary condition on the edges.
The question is how can I check that the periodic boundary condition is applied correctly or not? Because when the solution is converged, pressure and displacement values are same but the slope is not continuous at certain locations.
I will appreciate if anyone can provide some insight on this or can refer good publication on this.
