Postdoc position in structural materials/acoustic metamaterials/phononic crystals at the University of South Carolina
We seek for a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar in the field of solid and structural mechanics to join Professor Jinkyu Yang's research group (http://www.me.sc.edu/research/ASL/) at the University of South Carolina. Professor Yang's research laboratory is located in the Mechanical Engineerin Department at the University of South Carolina, which is ranked 31st nationally according to National Research Council and is recently emerging due to the construction of Aerospace Cluster driven by Boeing Company and GE Aviation.
We focus on developing novel structural materials, acoustic metamaterials, and phononic crystals for aerospace/mechanical/biomedical applications, using both experimental and numerical approaches. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in applied physics, material science, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Good oral and writing communication skills are required.
