weight function for finding out the stress Intensity factors

Good evening Everyone,
I have some confusion regarding reference frame and origin point while dealing with concept of weight function in fracture mechanics.
Please check the attached file for complete details.

Weight Functions for SIFs
Dear Dr Suo,
May I request you to throw some light on this topic? My confusion arises from the fact that in most of the literatures [1,2] displacement function, for finite crack in an infinite homogenous body subjected to far field stress, is differentiated with respect to crack length taking left crack tip as origin, whereas Stress intensity factor is being calculated at the right tip!!
