Research Associate Position

The
National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a
Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on nanostructured permanent magnets.  Preference will be given to candidates who
have a strong commitment to research and development, and can actively contribute
to the programs within the NHMFL.

Qualifications include a Ph.D.
degree in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering or physics.  The candidate is expected to have working
experience on permanent magnetic materials. 
The candidate should have at least two-year hand-on experience on magnetic
material fabrication and magnetic property measurements. Hand-on experience in severe
plastic deformation, electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction is a plus.  He/she should be able to relate the measured data
to material fabrication, microstructure and properties.
