ASME IDETC 2013 biomechanics symposium at MSNDC conference

Dear colleagues,

The 2013 ASME multibody systems and nonlinear dynamics conference (MSNDC) to be held Aug 4-7 in Portland, Oregon will host a special symposium on biomechanics. John McPhee, Darryl Thelen and I are organizing this symposium on biomechanics (MSNDC-12), and we hope that you will consider submitting your work for presentation and publication in the ASME conference proceedings.

Paper submissions are welcome for all areas related to the computational modeling and characterization of biomechanics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • musculoskeletal simulations;
  • human body kinematics and sports biomechanics;
  • gait analysis;
  • biomolecules, cell, soft tissue, vessels, and organ biomechanics; and
  • medical applications and prosthesis dynamics.

The deadline for paper submissions is January 7, 2013. This year ASME has desiced not to extend the deadline.

I've attached a copy of the Call for Papers, which also includes an announcement for the student paper competition. The conference website is:

The ASME MSNDC conference attracts a large number of the leading researchers in the field, and we hope that you will submit your latest work to this event.

Best regards,

Sachin Goyal
