in Computational Mechanics
Job description
A director is sought to lead the Institute
of Computational Mechanics within the College of Mechanics
and Materials in Hohai
University. The major
responsibility of the director is to promote the Institute’s academic
competitiveness and develop the national key discipline. In addition, you will
be responsible for providing direction and coordination of the Institute’s
academic strategy and objectives, management and leadership of the Institute’s
staff to ensure synergy, cohesion and sustainability.
You will possess excellent attainments in Computational Solid Mechanics
(CSM) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The professors of Changjiang
Scholars Program and winners of National Science Foundation for Distinguished
Young Scholars will have priority for this post, as well as those potential
candidates who plan to base our college to apply for the Changjiang Scholars
Program, Recruitment Program of Global Experts, Recruitment Program of Global Young
Experts, and Jiangsu Provincial Distinguished Professor Program. The salary
package is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.

Introduction of the College
The College of Mechanics and Materials within Hohai University
originated from the two departments, Engineering Mechanics and Material
Science, which are among the oldest departments in the University. The College
currently houses 1 national key discipline (Engineering Mechanics), 1 Jiangsu
provincial key discipline (Mechanics), 1 National Teaching Base in Engineering
Basic Courses (Mechanics), 1 National Demonstrating Centre for Experiment Teaching
of Mechanics, 1 National Innovative Group of Mechanics Teaching, 4 national
excellent courses, 2 doctoral programs (Mechanics and Materials for Civil Engineering),
1 postdoctoral research station (Mechanics), and 1 Jiangsu Provincial
