Abaqus XFEM

I'm trying to simulate crack initiation and growth in Abaqus (by VCCT and traction separation laws in frame XFEM).
I have 2 problems:
1. When I'm using MAXPS, MAXS, QUADS (doesn't matter) as crack initiation criterion and traction-separation law as the crack growth criterion,crack is initiate and growing, but STATUSXFEM in output show me the same value ~0.4. Any parameters(fracture energy, critical stress, and their types) haven't influence on the value of STATUSXFEM. This value 0.4 mean that the FE(with crack) not fully cuted by crack. Some links still exist, and so, the stress state in the crack location is something incredible. How can I control this "residual" links? 
If I prescribe initial crack, STATUSXFEM in this zone shown value 1(it's mean that FE fully cuted by crack), but with further growth of crack STATUSXFEM is falling.
2. In VCCT analysis STATUSXFEM shown value 1, but there is a problem with crack propagation. Sometimes crack freezing on some position and no growth from this moment.
 
Is there somebody with expirience in ABAQUS cracks simulation?
