Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering at University of Chile

In the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, at University of Chile, we are seeking to fill a faculty position with an exceptional researcher in areas related to Mechanical Engineering. The official call is expected to appear by March 2015. 

In a first (informal) stage prior to the official call, we are accepting CVs of potential candidates that show interest in this position and meet the following requisites:

• Hold a doctorate degree within 5 years to the time of the application.
• Hold a doctorate degree from a recognized University  or equivalently have had a post-doctoral appointment in a recognized University (ARWU or similar can be used to demonstrate recognition).
• Possess international recognition in their field of research. This must be supported by ISI publications that show significant advancement in their field of research (e.g., number of citations can be used) and the opinion of at least three renown faculties in their research fields.
• Demonstrate interest in teaching in addition to research.
