Dear Colleagues,

Please consider to attend the symposium entitled  "Mechanics of Materials in Energy Technologies"  at the occasion of ASME 2015 Applied Mechanics and Materials Conference, 6.29-7.1, 2015, in Seattle. The conference occurs every four years and covers all aspects of mechanics and materials: theoretical, experimental, and computational.

The description of the symposium is below.

The concerns about global climate change and the desire to attain energy independence are driving the development of new energy resources and improving the performance and sustainability of the existing ones. This symposium will focus on sharing and disseminating the recent advances in mechanical behavior of materials for energy storage, conversion and transport. Energy materials and their mechanics is fundamentally important in such diverse areas as batteries, fuel cells, capacitors, thermo-electrics, solar energy, and wind energy. We seek outstanding recent contributions in these and related areas from academia as well as industry.

The abstract submission is due on February 1st, 2015. Detailed information on abstract submission is available here, http://www.asmeconferences.org/McMat2015/CallForPapersDetail.cfm.
