PhD Position

PhD Position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University

We are currently seeking an outstanding candidate for a fully funded PhD program in our research group at Rowan University starting Fall 2015. The ideal candidate should have a B.S or M.S. in engineering or physics. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in applied mechanics, additive manufacturing or bioengineering. Applicants with a strong research potential and interest in clinical translational research will be given due consideration. Any prior publication track record will be highly valued. There will be significant opportunity to collaborate with orthopadic surgeon(s) at the Cooper University Hospital of Rowan University and the possibility to collaborate with researchers at The U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC). Potential projects include applying new manufacturing techniques for use in orthopaedic surgery.
