Webinar: New Features of TURBOdesign Suite 5.2.5 | Wednesday 18th March

In this 1 hour webinar we will show how the new features and enhancements in TURBOdesign Suite 5.2.5 enable turbomachinery engineers to produce breakthrough high-efficiency designs faster than ever before. Two example cases will cover application of the new features to the full design process from preliminary sizing to automatic optimization.

• In the first example we will use the new capabilities in TURBOdesign Pre to design a Centrifugal Fan from just initial design specifications such as target Pressure Rise, RPM and Volume Flow-rate, the initial design created in TURBOdesign1 will be used as a baseline case for TURBOdesign Optima using Design of Experiments (DoE) for automatic optimization. Particular emphasis will be given to the new capabilities of automatic leading edge treatment and file conversion to streamline the optimization process.
• The second example will demonstrate the improved preliminary, detailed 3D blade design and automatic process applicable to Radial Inflow Turbines. The initial case will be created in TURBOdesign Pre and TURBOdesign1 to create an automatic optimisation to evaluate the optimum meridional geometry across a large design space.
