Research Assistant

with 19,92 working hours per week, employment first for a period of 24 months.


Requirements: excellent university degree (Dipl.-Ing. or M.Sc.) in engineering, civil, mechanical or similar, above-average grades during studies, very good knowledge of English.

Tasks in research and teaching in the field of Mechanics of Adaptive Systems; research especially in the field of health monitoring and active vibration suppression using piezo-ceramics.

Payment in accordance with a limited working contract over two years according to TV-L, E13, with possibility of extension. Participation in teaching with 2 hours per week.
Opportunity for Ph.D. degree.

Required qualifications:

  • Over-average University degree (Dipl.-Ing. or M.Sc.) in Engineering
  • Expertise in simulation and computational engineering software (Matlab, FEM-Abaqus)
  • Ability of independently carrying out development, performing and evaluation of
  • experimental research
  • Knowledge of signal processing is advantageous
  •  Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  •  Motivation for work within our research group, selfinitiative art of working, team work
