Research Software Engineer Fellowship
The UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is offering Research Software Engineer (RSE) Fellowships for a period of up to five years. The RSE Fellowship describes exceptional individuals with combined expertise in programming and a solid knowledge of the research environment. The eligibility criteria and details of how to apply can be found on the EPSRC website.
The ParaFEM project would be very interested in hearing from eligible candidates who would like to focus their fellowship on future tools for engineering simulation. We can help the right candidate put together a strong proposal focused on supporting the UK engineering community. If successful, the post will provide the opportunity to work on a diverse stack of open source software tools including finite elements, CFD, cellular automata and random fields. Our aim in the next 5 years is to integrate these into an open source Exascale simulation platform. Please contact lee.margetts@manchester.ac.uk before the 31st May if you would like to discuss the opportunity to contribute to this ambitious initiative at the University of Manchester.
