Hello all,
I need theoretical guidance and any literature related to the problem. I am going to explain problem below with just considering simple cube.
Problem Statement:
There is one cubic shape and it is filled with water. It's external case is made of steel with some minimal thickness. Now the problem is that water get frozer in transient manner and it's volume get expand and it creates non-linear deformation on structure part.
I am trying to solve this problem in ANSYS. I am able to achieve fluid phase transformation (jsut thermal Part). Now, I want to integrate structure part (I mean thermo-structure coupling) in order to observe volume expansion effects. I tried to do with some plane elements. However, It demands temperature dependent young's modulus for fluid (at least for water).
So my question, would anyone please suggests how to calculate temperature dependent young's modulus for water? Or I have thermal expansion coefficient for different temperature. So Is there any way to calculate even bulk modulus from different thermal expansion coefficient for different temperature? Is there any empirical relation between thermal expansion coefficient and bulk modulus?
Please let me know, If you have any ideas regarding it. Any suggestions to handle such kind of problem in ANSYS or in any other software.
If the problem is not cleared. Please ask me, I will try further to elaborate it.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Rohan
