PhD Positions in the areas of computational mechanics and soft tissue biomechanics are available in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Requirements:
a. The candidates must have already earned (or should soon earn) an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a closely related field.
b. They should have strong previous background in experimental and/or numerical methods.
c. Proficiency in English and good written and verbal communication skills are required.
d. Excellent programming skills and experience with high performance computing is desirable.
The preferred start date is Spring 2016 but the positions will remain open until filled.
