It is a great pleasure to contact you again to give you some new details about the XVIII International Colloquium on Mechanical Properties of Metals (ICMFM18), to be held in Gijón (Spain), from September 5th to 7th of 2016.

 

The following plenary speakers have been confirmed:

 

Prof. Martina Zimmermann / Fraunhofer IWS - Technical University of Dresden (Germany)

 

Prof. Mario Guagliano / Politecnico di Milano (Italy)

 

Prof. André Pineau / Ecole des Mines - Mines ParisTech (France)

We would like also to remind you the possibility to organize Special Sessions on specific topics of the Conference field. Some of the already proposed sessions are:

 

Internal Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Metals

Organizers: Stefanie Stanzl-Tschegg (BOKU, Austria) and Eberhard Kerscher (University of Kaiserlautern, Germany)

 

Fatigue in Nuclear Plant Materials

Organizers: Sergio Cicero (UC, Spain), Kevin Mottershead (AMEC Foster Wheeler, UK), Matthias Bruchhausen (JRC, Netherlands), Thomas Mettais (EDF, France), Roberto Lacalle (Inesco, Spain) and Román Cicero (Inesco, Spain)
