Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Multiscale Modeling of Dynamic Failure

A postdoctoral research fellow is sought to join the Laboratory for Nonequilibrium Phenomena (neplab.net) under the direction of Prof. Justin W. Wilkerson at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

The ideal candidate will have expertise and interests in multiscale modeling of deformation and failure processes. Experience in crystal plasticity, phase-field modeling, dislocation dynamics, and/or atomistic methods is particularly desired. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in engineering or physical sciences, as well as a demonstrated strong background in mechanics and numerical methods.
