Thu, 2016-01-21 03:06 - Noosha Mosadegh
Dear All,
I am using Abaqus but have never used UMAT and I am a new at this topic. For starting I have this question: Whcih Visual Studio version suits best to link Abaqus 6-13 ( or 6-10) to Fortran XE intel 2011?
Many thanks in advance

Linking Abaqus
Hey Noosha,
Recently I was linking ABAQUS to FORTRAN. According to my experience what I found is for ABAQUS 6.12-1 works with Visual Studio 2012 and Intel Fortran XE 2013. If you are installing ABAQUS in WIN 8, you may face some problems. Try installing it making compatible with WIN 7. It worked for me.
If you are working on ABAQUS 6.10/6.12-1, Visual Studio 2008 With Intel Fortran 11.1.054 works well.
Also look at : http://imechanica.org/node/15894 for installing VS 2012 and Fortran 2013 with ABAQUS.
I hope this helps.
Linking ABAQUS with FORTRAN
You can try the same with ABAQUS 6.13. I am expecting it would work.
Hello Dear Noosha
Hello Dear Noosha
I had Abaqus 6.13-4 linked with Visual Studio 2012 and Intel Composer XE 2013 which you can download it freely!
But I prefer Abaqus 6.14-1 and also linked it with the mentioned VS and Fortran Compiler.
Good Luck!
