How to model hybrid composite in ABAQUS?

Hello everyone,

Good day! I am trying to model a hybrid composite in abaqus. But I am not being able to run it. So what I am trying to do is, I am using two types of fibers with two different diameters and materials in the matrix. As it is a test run, I am using steel as the matrix material, graphite as the larger diameter fiber and glass as the smaller diameter fiber. Again as a test run, I am applying fixed boundary condition at the left edge of the RVE and distributed normal stress at the right edge of the RVE. After meshing the RVE, I am trying to run it. But the simulation is being aborted again and again. The error message is like following-

"Anisotropic material properties without a local orientation system have been defined for 100 elements. Anisotropic material properties must be defined in a local orientation system. The elements are identified in element set ErrElemAnisotropicMaterial."

Could any of you please help me to fix this problem? Has any of you solved such kind of a problem before? It would be much easier for me if you could kindly share the steps you followed with me.

Thanks!

The error is self-explanatory. You will need to define a local coordinate system CSYS, which shall then be included in the Orientation definition for the Part. This is required because without this, ABAQUS does not know which one is your fiber direction and which one is the transverse.
