PhD positions: (1) mechanics of porous media, (2) mechanobiology deadline extended

Announcing extension of the deadline of application for the two positions that I posted here last week. The deadline is now extended by one week to 21st February 2016.

I am looking for candidates with a strong theoretical/computational background in solid mechanics and those who would be interested in experimentation, additionally. A strong degree in mechanical engineering, applied mechanics, aeropace engineering, applied mathematics, computational physics, computational materials science, or a related area is required. A master's degree in a closely related field is highly desirable.

The two positions are in the areas of (i) mechanics of cellular, porous and structured media, and (ii) mechanobiology of cell adhesion and growth.
