Tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT)

The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is inviting applicants for a Tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of thermal-fluids to start in August 2017.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to, microfluidics/MEMS, bio-inspired fluid mechanics, complex fluids, applications to energy systems, and environmental fluid mechanics. The candidate should complement our existing strengths in soft materials, fluid mechanics, continuum mechanics, experimental and computational solid mechanics, energy storage materials, and micro-nano scale fluid mechanics.  

Candidates should have a Ph.D, degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of outstanding research accomplishment necessary to sustain externally funded research programs.
