Job Description 

Schlumberger-Doll Research (SDR) is looking for a six month research intern with a background in numerical modeling and mechanical engineering. The intern will work with SDR scientists to develop thermo-mechanical models for oil and gas applications. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of finite element modeling, solid mechanics, and heat transfer. Knowledge of fluid dynamics and fluid modeling is a plus.

Qualifications

  • PhD in materials science or mechanical engineering with a strong background in numerical simulations.
  • Knowledge of experimental techniques for materials characterization, metallurgy, and mechanical properties of materials 
  • Independent research experience and good problem-solving skills
