Workshop SLab Avalanche Multiscale Mechanical Modeling SLAM3 - SLF, Davos, Switzerland

Dear colleagues,

I would like to inform you about the upcoming workshop SLab Avalanche Multiscale Mechanical Modeling (SLAM3) which will be organized at the SLF in Davos from the 3rd to 5th April 2017.

The objective of SLAM3 is to present the current state of available methods applied at the different scales of interest, to define crucial scientific obstacles and to discuss new collaborations. SLAM3 will gather scientists with various backgrounds, from snow science, to fracture mechanics and numerical methods. The workshop is financially supported by the ENAC faculty of EPFL, the SLF and MicroDICE.

The workshop includes keynote presentations by invited speakers, a field excursion and a poster session. The total number of participants is limited to 40 persons. For more information about SLAM3, registration, abstract submission and student grants, please follow the link below:
