ECCOMAS Thematic Conference “Computational modeling of complex materials across the scales (CMCS2017)”, 7 - 9 Nov. 2017 Paris, France: deadline for abstracts 15 May 2017
Dear colleagues,
The ECCOMAS thematic conference "Computational Modeling of Complex Materials Across the scales" (CMCS 2017) will be held in Paris, from 7th to 9th November 2017.
https://cmcs2017.sciencesconf.org/
The objectives of the international CMCS 2017 conference are to present recent state-of-the-art developments in multiscale modeling of complex materials with computational approaches. This thematic conference focuses on the one hand on the modeling of complex (i.e. multiphysics, realistic microstructures) microstructural phenomena and on the other hand on the upscaling of these phenomena at coarse (engineering) scales to determine their effective or emergent behavior.
Important dates:
15 May 2017: One-page abstract deadline
30 June 2017: Notification of acceptance
15 September 2017: Deadline for early registration fees
Plenary lectures:
Michael Ortiz, California Institute of Technology, USA
Kenjiro Terada, Tohoku University, Japan
William Curtin, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland
Samuel Forest, Mines ParisTech, France
An obituary in honor of Prof. Christian Miehe will be given by Peter Wriggers
We look forward to meeting you in November 2017 in Paris
Sincerly yours,
Julien Yvonnet, Université Paris-Est, France (chair)
Marc Geers, Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands (co-chair)
Paul Steinmann, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany (co-chair)
