We are organizing a symposia on the topic of  Bio-inspired Solids, Structures and Metamaterials at the 13th World Congress on Computational Mechanics/2nd Pan American Congress on Computational Mechanics, 2018 in New York (http://www.wccm2018.org/).  More information for the inerested researchers can be found at http://www.wccm2018.org/MS_617. The conference will be held from July 22-July 27, 2018 at New York City. The broad topics of interesent include investigative work on biologically inspired materials (including composites and metamaterials), structural systems (including structures and multi-domain(physics)/coupled systems), design strategies (from all length scales) and manufacturing.
