Modelling deformation and fracture of Gilsocarbon graphite subject to service environments

Our research group at TU Delft has, in collaboration with Bristol University, UK, published a paper on modelling deformation and fracture of Gilsocarbon graphite subject to service environments in Journal of Nuclear Materials. This material is used in AGR reactor cores in nuclear facilities in the UK, and is exposed to neutron irradiation and CO2. The integrity of the reactor core is therefore dependent on the material and its changes over the service life.
