An ECCOMAS Advanced Course on Computational Structural Dynamics, Prague, 2018
We would like to announce An ECCOMAS Advanced Course on Computational Structural Dynamics 2018, shortcourse2018.it.cas.cz . The short course on computational structural dynamics will be held form June 4 to June 8, 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic.
The course covers topics relating to modern and recent numerical methods in computational structural dynamics, finite element method in linear and nonlinear dynamic cases, wave propagation in solids and its numerical solution, modern methods for direct time integration and partitioned analysis (domain decomposition methods, FETI, etc..), dynamic contact problems, modal and spectral analysis, coupled problems in mechanics (e.g. fluid-structure interaction), reduction modelling and many others. For detailed program of the short course see www page: http://shortcourse2018.it.cas.cz/im/im/page/program.
Lecturers of the short course are:
Prof. K.C. Park, University of Colorado, Boulder, USA
Prof. Alain Combescure, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées, Lyon, France
Dr. Jiří Plešek, Institute of Thermomechanics, Prague, Czech Republic
Prof. Jaroslav Kruis, Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic
Prof. José González, Universidad de Sevilla, Spain
Prof. Alexander Popp, Bundeswehr University Munich, Germany
Dr. Jin-Gyun Kim, Institute of Machinery and Materials, Korea
Dr. Anton Tkachuk, University of Stuttgart, Germany
Dr. Radek Kolman, Institute of Thermomechanics, Prague, Czech Republic
The intended audience of this short course comprises graduate students, post docs, junior and senior scientists and also practical engineers who would like to learn more about state of the art techniques and advanced and modern numerical methods in computational structural dynamics. Lectures will be followed by comprehensive, theoreical and practical sessions.
There is a reduced short course fee for 30 persons as students, PhD. students, start-up scientists and postdoctoral researchers outside the Czech Republic. The confirmation is needed.
Should you be interested in attending the short course, we are looking forward to receiving your electronic application (http://shortcourse2018.it.cas.cz/im/regform2/index or see attached flyer) by March 15, 2018.
