PhD position on mechanics of 3D printed biomaterials at SUNY-Binghamton

A funded PhD position is available immediately to work on mechanics modeling for 3D printed biomaterials. The PhD student is expected to conduct continuum modeling and finite element simulation (Abaqus) informed from meso-/micro-scale simulation results and experimental data. You will have intensive collaboration with bioengineers.  MS/BS students with a strong solid mechanics background are encouraged to apply.  Previous experience in developing constitutive models and implimenting UMAT/UEL is desirable.  Please send your CV (including research experience, publications, skills, etc.) to Prof. Pu Zhang by email (pzhang@binghamton.edu). Standard tests like GRE (and TOEFL for non-native speakers) scores should also be provided.

The application deadline is Feb 1st for 2018 Fall enrollment. Funding cannot be guaranteed after the deadline.
