PhD position in Computational Multiphysics Modeling

A PhD position in the area of computational materials science is available in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Candidates should be strongly self-motivated individuals possessing a MS or BS degree in mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering or other closely related disciplines. This position will conduct multiphysics modeling on the MOOSE (http://mooseframework.org/) platform and a background in phase field modeling with strong c++ programming skills is desirable. Familiarity with using the command line in a Linux computing environment is assumed. Experience with parallel computing with MPI is a plus. This position will be fully supported for their tuition, stipend and student insurance. The research project of this position is described below.
