PhD fellowship at m4lab@UNIBS within a joint work between Academics and Industry.
The Multiscale Mechanics and Multiphysics of Materials Lab (http://m4lab.unibs.it) at the School of Engineering at the University of Brescia, Italy announces a PhD fellowship on the subject of Topological Optimization and Additive Manufacturing in the framework of energy production via fuel cells. The fellowship is fully funded by a multinational company and will last three years.
The student will be co-advised by Prof. A. Salvadori and other colleagues. The position requires the ability of working in an interdisciplinary team, with co-designed experimental and simulations focus, in collaboration between Academics and Industry.
A background in solid mechanics and thermodynamics, knowledge of nonlinear finite element methods and ability to use FEM codes, preferably deal.ii and ABAQUS, is positively considered.
