The Division of Engineering and Applied Science at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering (MCE) in the area of Civil Engineering, with emphasis on infrastructure and systems. We are seeking candidates with an outstanding research record and a strong commitment to teaching. The rapid growth of population and megacities requires sustainable and resilient infrastructure, posing significant scientific and technological challenges to be tackled by the most innovative research. The MCE department is seeking applications in all areas that are synergistic to civil engineering, infrastructure and systems.
