Does anyone know how to use umat written in C code with ABAQUS installed in Linux?

Since there are some weird problems occurred during the compiling with the application of VS and ABAQUS in Windows system, my supervisor advised me to use Linux system instead. The reason is that the system of the server of the institute is Linux and Linux helps a lot regarding coding. However, when I tried to run umat.o file in ABAQUS with the server, there was an error called "Problem during linking". I'm sure the server has installed ABAQUS and Intel Fortran. I'm wondering must ABAQUS need some other supporting software in Linux system?By the way, I installed the Ubuntu (a Linux version) in Win10 system and use "gcc -c " to get the umat.o, but it didn't work on ABAQUS as I mentioned above.Wish you have a happy holiday.
