ASME Materials Division calls nominations for Orr Early Carrer Award, Sia Nemat-Nasser Early Career Award, and Nadai Medal
ORR EARLY CAREER AWARD
The award recognizes young researcher within 7 years of terminal degree working in experimental, computational, or theoretical fatigue, fracture, or creep. For more information please see https://www.asme.org/about-asme/get-involved/honors-awards/unit-awards/orr-early-career-award.
The nomination package should be sent to Prof. Toshio Nakamura, Vice Chair of Materials Division, at toshio.nakamura@stonybrook.edu. The deadline for nomination is Feb. 1st.
SIA NEMAT-NASSER EARLY CAREER AWARD
The award is now at society-level. The award recognizes early career research excellence in the areas of experimental, computational, and theoretical mechanics and materials by young investigators who are within 10 years after their Ph.D. degree, with special emphasis placed on under-represented groups. The nomination package should be sent to Prof. Yong Zhu, Chair of Materials Division, at yzhu7@ncsu.edu. The deadline for nomination is Feb. 1st.
NADAI MEDAL
The award is at society-level. The Nadai Medal is awarded in recognition of significant contributions and outstanding achievements which broaden the field of materials engineering. Such achievements may be, for example, in the areas of education, research, development, and service to the field and profession. Nominations are not restricted by profession, nationality or ASME or other Society membership.
