Description:

We solicit applications for post-doctoral positions in Computational Mechanics of Materials at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Areas of interest include:

·         Computational methods in fracture mechanics using novel techniques such as Finite Element Exterior Calculus

·         Level set and enrichment techniques for fracture and interface problems

·         Constitutive modeling of advanced materials

·         Other topics in nonlinear continuum mechanics and solid, fluid, or computational mechanics

Qualifications:

Candidates should have, or expect to have, a PhD degree in a computational and/or mechanics related discipline such as mechanical engineering, engineering science, or applied mathematics, for example.

Interested candidates should send a pdf file including a cover letter and a CV, with names of three references, to Professor Brian Moran at brian.moran [at] kaust.edu.sa (carina[dot]saadeh[at]kaust[dot]edu[dot]sa).  The subject line should state: MORAN – POSTDOCTORAL POSITION. The positions are available immediately and will remain open until filled.
