Ph.D. Student Assistantship Available in the domain of Mechanics, Modeling, and Materials at Michigan Technological University, Starting January 2021. Immediate funding for a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engg., at Michigan Tech (https://www.mtu.edu/mechanical/), is available under the supervision of Dr. Trisha Sain. The candidate is anticipated to work on computational model development for composites, subjected to environmental degradation, and performing experiments to determine changes in the material’s microstructure. Candidates with MS in Engineering and with exposure in computational mechanics/multiscale modeling is preferred. Familiarity with coding languages would be helpful.
