Postdoc - FE of wind towers - JHU

I am looking to hire a postdoc for a 2 year appointment to work with me on FE simulation of wind turbine tower structures with opportunities for collaboration in uncertainty quantification, other energy structures, other thin-walled structures, and more. I have two active projects on wind turbine towers that include collaborations with one large OEM and one startup manufacturer that will be the primary emphasis of the postdoc.

If you have experience with nonlinear FE modeling of thin-walled structures and interest in structural reliability and optimization you might be a great fit. In addition to joining my research group you will have the opportunity to work with the newly formed Energy Institute at Johns Hopkins.

Email me your CV and a brief note to schafer@jhu.edu subject "wind towers postdoc". I am hoping to hire and initiate work ASAP, but will consider candidates who are not graduating until this summer...
