18th European Mechanics of Materials Conference (EMMC18), Oxford, April 4-6 2022

Dear Colleagues,

The next edition of the European Mechanics of Materials Conference (EMMC18) will be held in Oxford, UK, on April 4-6, 2022:

EMMC18 is organised by the Department of Engineering Science of the University of Oxford, under the auspices of the European Mechanics Society, EUROMECH. The conference will take place in the Examinations Schools, in the heart of Oxford. 

The conference is organised in 18 mini-symposia covering a range of topics in mechanics of materials and chaired by international experts. The full description of each mini-symposium can be found here.

We are also very pleased to announce the following keynote lecturers:
- Professor Chiara Daraio (Caltech)
- Professor Samuel Forest (Mines-ParisTech)
- Professor Thao (Vicky) Nguyen (Johns Hopkins University)

We are now inviting contributions (oral presentations or poster). The abstract submission portal is open on the conference website, and will close on October 1, 2021.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you in the beautiful city of Oxford in April 2022.
