PhD position at at DTU, Denmark: Digital twin of wind turbine blade erosion

Department of Wind Energy of DTU offers several new PhD positions, including a PHD position in “Digital twin of leading edges on wind turbine blades" (https://windenergy.dtu.dk/english/Education/PhD/New-PhD-positions/8-Digi...).

Leading edge erosion of wind turbine blades in one of the most often observed damage mechanisms of wind turbines. It is also quite a complex problem for computational modelling, including material fatigue, viscoelastic deformation of coatings, multiple dynamic impacts, damage mechanics, stochastic factors and stress wave propagation.

If you are interested to make your PhD in Denmark, in the area of wind energy and computational materials science, if you know FEM/Abaqus, programming/Python, are interested in artificial intelligence/machine learning, and know basics of materials mechanics and wind energy, please apply for this position.
