PhD position in finite element modeling and simulation of metal forming processes

A fully funded PhD position in close collaboration with the manufacturing industry is immediately available in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at École de Technologie Saupérieure, Montréal, Canada.  
 
The selected candidate is required to:
- have B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering – Solid Mechanics,
- be talented, highly motivated, responsible, organized, and creative,
- have a strong background in Finite Element Method (FEM),
- have solid knowledge about deformation (stress-strain) analysis,
- be familiar with materials science (a big asset in this work), and
- be acquainted with heat transfer analysis (a great asset)
 
The successful candidate will work on an industrial project on modeling, simulations, and experiments of metal forming processes.
