Open Postdoctoral Research Associate - Durham University, UK
Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computational Diagnostics and Inverse Mechanics
A highly motivated researcher is sought for this unique opportunity to develop complementary experimental and computational procedures to evaluate mechanical properties of cell/tissue constructs. This project is supported by Procter & Gamble and is specifically focused on quantifying relationships between the mechanical properties and the biological function of skin cell constructs. There is also strong potential to develop fundamental tools and knowledge in the fields of inverse material characterization and mechanobiology with significant impact to both research areas. The project will be co supervised by Dr Tim Hawkins (Biosciences – Durham University) and Dr John Brigham (Computational Diagnostics and Inverse Mechanics – University of Pittsburgh).
