Paris' law, damage cumulative laws and disorder

    I have been playing with a recent model on Paris law from a very good group of physicists, but added some engineering perspective and I think the predictions they make a quite unrealistic in a possible range of material parameters:-   in particular, there is a regime where most interesting behaviour (disorder effects, avalanches) occurs, but which I find also associated with quite unexpected or unrealistic deviation from Paris law.
