fully-funded PhD position available at BUAA, China

A four-year PhD position is available at Prof. Leiting Dong's grounp in Beihang University. Beihang University, also known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), has always been ranked No. 1 in Aerospace Engineering among all the universities in China. The research group led by Professor Leiting Dong is seeking talented and motivated candidates to work on the development of state-of-the-art computational mechanics methods and their applications on the analysis and design of complex engineering structures. Candidates with experiences on meshless methods, boundary element methods, multiscale modeling, composite structures or fracture and fatigue analyses are particularly welcomed. 

The candidate will be carrying on fundamental studies in a strong research group at BUAA led by Prof. Leiting Dong. A fellowship with tuition support and a standard living-stipend wiil be provided. The group includes three faculty members, more than 20 graduate students, and we have been working on computer modeling methods and their engineering applications for years since Prof. Dong obtained his Ph.D. from UC Irvine mentored by Prof. Satya N.
