Fully-funded PhD position in Atomistic Modelling of Fracture, University of Groningen (Netherlands)

One fully funded PhD position supported by NWO (Dutch Research Council) is available in the group of Francesco Maresca (https://www.rug.nl/staff/f.maresca/) at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, in Atomistic Modelling of Fracture with focus on liquid metal embrittlement.

The position will involve using Density Functional Theory and Molecular Dynamics simulations.

The position is for four years, with flexible start date.

Candidate's profile:

- M.Sc. in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science.

- Proven experience in atomistic modelling (DFT and MD) and Solid Mechanics background.
