A postdoc position in the field of computational mechanics is available in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Arizona. The project will focus on developing a systematic integration between experiment, crystal plasticity, finite element method (FEM), or peridynamic implementation of crystal plasticity to find an optimized microstructure for a given lattice structure topology to improve mechanical property under different loading conditions.
Prior experience with crystal plasticity and finite element methods is required. The position will be for a duration of one year, with the possibility of renewal.
