Graduate/Intern Simulation Engineers at Alloyed (UK or remote-based)
in Applied Computational Science and Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Solve complex multi-scale science and multi-physics engineering problems
- Implement applied mathematics, physics, and materials principles to simulate and analyse performance of alloys and additively manufactured components developed for automotive, aerospace, space, electronics, consumer products, and biomedical devices
- Become equipped in advanced computational techniques: multi-physics PDEs / FEA / CFD / BEM, atom-to-continuum multi-scale simulations, constitutive modelling, multi-objective optimisation, surrogate modelling, machine learning and data science in engineering
- Develop software tools for multi-scale and multi-physics simulations, and digital twins
Essential Skills:
- Completed masters or PhD degrees, or be near completion for interns, in a field related to applied computational science and engineering, computational solid or fluid mechanics, integrated computational materials engineering, machine learning, data science and computer science applications in engineering
- Proficient in programming using Python, Matlab, Fortran, Matlab, .NET, C#, or C++
- Excellent problem-solving ability and capable of converting complex data into actions with practical solutions
- Well-versed in the development of APIs, subroutines, or automation scripts for simulations
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the development of validation strategy through experimental approach
- Experience in contributing actively and creatively to solving complex science and engineering problems
