Euromech Colloquium MULTISCALE MECHANICS, MULTIPHYSICS MODELING AND SIMULATIONS FOR ENERGY STORAGE
Dear Colleagues,
It gives us great pleasure to announce the Euromech Colloquium “MULTISCALE MECHANICS, MULTIPHYSICS MODELING AND SIMULATIONS FOR ENERGY STORAGE” to be held in Sirmione, Italy, 29-31 August, 2022 ( https://617.euromech.org/ ).
The colloquium provides a unique forum for scientists and engineers across the world to exchange ideas and to identify new research directions towards designing the next generation of ultrahigh-performance, reliable, safe, sustainable, and affordable batteries. Research breakthroughs in the field require an immense multi-disciplinary effort. In this vision, the mechanics community is called upon to play a central role, particularly in predicting and limiting battery degradation and capacity fade.
Participation in person is now possible in view of relaxed covid restrictions, remote attendance is also possible upon registration at the colloquium website
Invited speakers have been selected by the Scientific Committee. They are listed at https://617.euromech.org/description/talks/ .
We invite interested scientists to present a poster. Among the submitted proposals, the Scientific Committee will select 20 posters to be presented in person, whereas all received posters will be collected in a book of posters that will be published on the colloquium website. Presentation requests shall be addressed by email to
We did our best to keep the fees as low as possible ( 250 euros for early registration by 15 May and 300 euros afterwards) and look forward to welcoming you to the wonderful city of Sirmione for what promises to be a very exciting and stimulating event.
